Privacy Policy
TL;DR: We do not collect your personal data. Most tools run locally in your browser. Server-side tools process data in-memory and discard it immediately. We only collect anonymous telemetry for health monitoring and debugging.

1. Overview
Klipzo is a collection of free online utility tools. We prioritize your privacy and process all files and user inputs locally in your browser or securely in-memory on our servers. To monitor service health, analyze usage patterns, prevent abuse, and support voluntary problem reporting, we collect anonymized telemetry and user-submitted feedback as explained below.
2. Anonymized Telemetry & Analytics
We run a custom, self-hosted telemetry system. Unlike traditional analytics trackers (such as Google Analytics), our system does not track individuals across websites or store raw personal identifiers.
What we collect automatically:
• Hashed IP Address: To identify unique visitors while respecting privacy, we hash IP addresses daily using a cryptographic salt. This hash changes every 24 hours, making it impossible to track your visits long-term or link them back to you.
• System Information: Web browser name, operating system, and screen/device properties.
• Traffic Referrer: The website or search engine you arrived from.
• Action Events: The specific tools you visit and basic action counts (such as click counts on download, copy, or preview buttons). We do not record any inputs, outputs, or filenames.
3. Voluntary Problem Reports
If you encounter an issue or bug with a tool, you can voluntarily submit a problem report.
When you submit a report, we collect:
• Your problem description.
• An optional email address (only if you choose to provide it for follow-ups).
• Automated diagnostics: browser name, OS version, window resolution, timezone offset, and the URL of the tool where the error occurred.
This data is stored securely on our servers and is only used to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Email addresses are never shared, sold, or used for marketing.
4. In-Browser Tools (Client-Side Processing)
The majority of tools on Klipzo — including PDF editing, image processing, audio conversion, code formatting, and text utilities — run entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript.
This means:
• Your files, text, and inputs never leave your device.
• No data is uploaded to our servers.
• Processing happens locally in your browser's memory.
• When you close the tab, all data is discarded.
5. Server-Side Tools (API Processing)
A small number of tools require server-side processing due to the computational requirements of their underlying machine-learning models. These tools are clearly labelled with a "Server-side" badge on their tool page (e.g., AI Text Detector, Text Humanizer, File Translator).
When you use a server-side tool:
• Your input text or file is transmitted to our server over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
• Processing occurs in-memory on the server using locally hosted models.
• The result is returned to your browser immediately.
• No input or output is ever written to disk, stored in a database, or retained in any log.
• Server access logs record only the HTTP method, timestamp, and response status — never the content of your request.
7. Third-Party Services
Klipzo does not embed or load any third-party tracking scripts, advertising SDKs, social media widgets, or analytics libraries.
The only external resource loaded is Google Fonts for typography, which is declared in our Content Security Policy. Google Fonts may log standard web server access logs (IP address, browser type) per Google's own Privacy Policy.
8. Technical Security
We implement the following technical security measures:
• HTTPS enforced on all connections (HSTS preload).
• Strict Content Security Policy (CSP) headers to prevent cross-site scripting.
• X-Frame-Options: DENY to prevent clickjacking.
• Referrer-Policy: no-referrer so your URL is not leaked to linked sites.
• Input size limits and server-side timeouts to prevent abuse.
• Automated security rules to block malicious traffic patterns.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update this page with the new effective date. Your continued use of Klipzo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
10. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please email us at [email protected] and we will respond promptly.
